After a year of being locked up, we needed to go for a drive and a drive it was! We flew to New York, rented a car and drove from East to South, stopped here and there and the best part, visited friends along the way!
It was amazing to see the streets of NYC and New Orleans empty. It was sad that we were so close to Canada but could not cross the border. We visited the bench Forrest Gump sat on! We checked out the birth home of Elvis Presley and anything Google said was there along the way!
We were one of the 350,000 people who attended Nashville’s “Let Freedom Sing!” Fourth of July celebration…believe it or not, we were in front of the pack and it was all by accident. We might have been the only two people wearing a mask as well! We visited Shelley and Dennis and enjoyed our stay at their beautiful farm. We also met up with our dear friend Pat in New Orleans!
We ran into a family in Savannah wearing the same Niagara Falls rain ponchos we had on and the kids were so cute asking if we could take a photo with them to the embarrassment of their parents!
